GULF SHORES, Ala. – The opening day at the NAIA Outdoor Men's and Women's Track & Field National Championships were cut short on Thursday at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium due to lightning and inclement weather conditions.

Multiple events were pushed back to Friday, including the women's long jump finals in which Janice Brown is scheduled to compete. The delayed events will be rescheduled throughout the day along with the regularly scheduled events on Friday.
